Broomfield House can be found in the centre of the historic port of Whitby. Our experienced staff are on hand to make your stay in Whitby as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.

We are situated on one of Whitby’s most important streets with views of Pannett Park, museum and the Georgian street houses that line the road into the town centre.
We have tried to source room products & breakfast ingredients as locally as possible. These companies include Bothams Bakers, Halders and Landers Butchers, local produce supplies sourced from William Wilsons and Yorkshire Dairies. We make our own jams and marmalade, again trying to source ingredients locally. A local farm supplies us with award-winning honey.

Room was clean and comfortable and anything required was attended to very quickly. It's very central for everything and only a short walk to most. Easily getting from the station or bus station. Steve and Jo are very pleasant to deal with. Would consider staying here again if we come back to Whitby. Recommend the Singing Kettle for breakfast while the Covid 19 restrictions are in place.

I have stayed in a fair few places in Whitby, this was the first near the town away from the sea front. The B&B is on the main road opposite the park which was lovely. The main road was of no inconvenience, we dropped our cases in the hallway and went and found a parking space. We were in the attic room at the back, the room was a clean and good size and height, we had our own WC and shower room opposite, rather than in the room. The bed was comfortable, there was also a small sofa/love seat in the room, wardrobe, bedside cabinets, fridge and kettle. Plenty of tea and coffee available in the room and we would fill out a communication tick list of any replacements. Due to C19 we did not meet the owners in person, however the communication was excellent via a messenger system and a wave at the window. I would definitely stay here again, maybe get a park view and not so high in the attic. What I liked about the location is that we were away from the windy seafront and close to the town and central.

Excellent location, 5 minutes walk into town, beautiful room with a massive cosy bed and a lovely big bath. Plenty of free on street parking within 5 minutes of the house.
