Dolly Waggon, named after one of the fells in the Helvellyn range, offers quality, family-run, bed and breakfast accommodation in Keswick, the Heart of the Lake District. We aim to ensure that all our visitors have an enjoyable and memorable stay with us. Our guest house is located in a quiet residential street with views of the surrounding fells from all guest bedrooms. We are only a few minutes walk from the busy town centre, Derwentwater and the Theatre by the Lake. As a very popular tourist town, Keswick possibly has as many places to eat and drink as it has to visit and shop. Walk out the door of Dolly Waggon and in just a few streets you have reached the bustling town centre but, if it’s peace and quiet you yearn for then take the car a short distance in almost any direction and this you will find. No car? No problem! There is a good bus service from Keswick to all the most popular places, including an open-top bus either through Borrowdale (simply amazing) or south to Grasmere (just beautiful). Whether you choose to walk, cycle, drive or use public transport you are never far from something interesting when you stay in Keswick.

Lovely people and very clean and well cared for rooms . The breakfast is very nice and well catered for all tastes 👍 Definitely recommend and will use again next time we pass though.

Even though it was their day off, the host offered their place when we were asking around in the pub for a place to stay for one night. We really enjoyed the stay, everything was clean, nice comfy bed, and the next day the hosts advised us concerning walking trails and escorted us to the start of one. Highly recommend!

just stayed one night, room 4 was at the top but had lovely views, room was spotless and nicely furnished, plenty of room to move around, comfy bed and quality linen, breakfast was good, good location also, 5 minute walk to centre of Keswick, only problem we had was we hadn't booked any restaurants for dinner online prior to arriving and due to Covid this is how they are all working.
